Like Local History? You Won’t Want to Miss This!
Mark your calendar for Friday, May 29 and join us for a fascinating look at the history of River Valley Schools.
Trinity Lutheran Church in Sawyer will host a special presentation titled “The History of River Valley Schools: From Undeveloped Country to Harbor Country, 1844 to 2026.” The approximately one hour program will begin at 9 AM in the church.
This engaging presentation will take attendees on a journey from the early days of one room schoolhouses in the townships of Three Oaks, Chikaming, Weesaw, and Galien all the way to present day River Valley Schools. Guests will also enjoy viewing rare and historic photographs displayed on large screens.
This free event is open to the public and is presented by River Valley High School’s Class of 1976 “Best Class Ever” as part of their 50 year reunion weekend celebration.
Whether you are a history enthusiast, community member, or River Valley alum, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the rich history of our schools and community.
